Fellowship Programs in Neuro-Ophthalmology

Neuro-Ophthalmology Fellowships provide training in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting vision that relate to the nervous system.  These include diseases of the optic nerve and chiasm and cortical visual pathways, double vision related to brainstem or cranial nerve disease, nystagmus and pupillary abnormalities.  Many programs are open to those who have trained in either ophthalmology or neurology while some are require training in one or the other.  Fellowships are typically one year and most provide opportunities for research and teaching in addition to clinical training.

Applications for Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowships positions will be coordinated through the SF-Match Ophthalmology Fellowship Match for the AUPO-compliant Neuro-Ophthalmology fellowship programs. Starting from June 30th, applications will be accepted from interested applicants who are applying for fellowships starting in July of the following year.
